Terms of Use – Reel2Plan

1. Scope and subject matter

These terms govern use of the “Reel2Plan” mobile app and related online services (including auth/landing pages at https://reel2plan.com) between you and Wilken Technologies (“we”, “us”).

Reel2Plan helps turn publicly reachable video URLs (including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X) into structured, checklist-style plans (e.g. recipes, workouts, DIY steps, lists). The Privacy Policy and — where applicable — Apple App Store / In-App Purchase terms also apply. The app is currently offered primarily for iOS; Android may follow.

Your conflicting terms do not apply unless we agree in writing.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You need a compatible device, internet access and an account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential.
  • Third-platform actions remain subject to those platforms’ terms; we are not a party to those contracts and do not sublicense platform content to you.

3. Service scope — and what Reel2Plan is not

3.1 Service

We provide software to store video references (including Quick Save), analyse available metadata/transcripts and create structured plan suggestions. Typical Pro features may include cooking mode, shopping-list writes, advanced scheduling/reminders, calendar export and widgets. Power mainly increases quotas (coins, video length, imports), not the feature set versus Pro. The in-app and — for purchases — store presentation at the time of use/purchase controls.

3.2 No advice, no accuracy guarantee

Reel2Plan is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, sports-medicine, craft, safety, legal or financial advice. Plans, quantities, times, temperatures, exercises, materials and safety notes are automated or derived suggestions and may be incomplete, wrong, outdated or misleading.

  • You verify every step before acting — especially cooking (allergens, hygiene), training (health, load), DIY (tools, chemicals, electrics) and travel.
  • For medical, emergency, medication or hazardous content the app at most shows cautious notices and not reliable how-to instructions. Critical content may be treated conservatively or limited for execution.
  • Source attributions and uncertainty markers do not replace your own judgment.

4. AI-generated content

Parts of the output are produced with AI systems based on video metadata, transcripts and third-party models. AI may hallucinate or mis-weight context. You receive only the licence in section 9; there is no claim to error-free or complete results where legally permitted.

5. User duties and prohibited use

  • Submit only URLs/content you are entitled to use and that do not infringe law or third-party rights;
  • Do not trigger illegal, harassing, fraudulent, harmful-to-minors or abusively dangerous content;
  • Do not bypass quotas, security or access controls or overload the service (including scraping, reverse engineering, automated bulk requests unless expressly allowed);
  • Avoid knowingly injecting third-party personal data into captions/URLs without a legal basis;
  • Do not abuse support or security processes.

We may suspend or terminate access, delete content and — where required — notify authorities or platforms. Statutory claims remain unaffected.

6. Quotas and plans

AI conversions are metered with coins. Orientation (as of this version; app and store displays control):

  • 1 coin typically equals 30 seconds of video duration (rounded up; at least 1 coin per conversion).
  • Free: limited weekly coins, shorter max video length, limited imports; Quick Save without coin spend within Free limits.
  • Pro / Power: higher monthly coin allotments and longer videos; Pro unlocks premium features as shown in-app. Power raises quotas, not the feature set versus Pro.
  • Coin packs: one-time consumables. They increase spendable coin balance, do not unlock subscription features, are non-transferable and are not restored like subscriptions via “Restore purchases”.

Values shown in the app and store at purchase/use time control. We may adjust quotas for operational or abuse reasons; purchased subscription benefits remain under store rules.

7. Subscriptions, purchases and withdrawal

7.1 Via Apple

  • Paid subscriptions and consumables (coin packs) are billed via Apple In-App Purchase.
  • The purchase contract is typically with Apple under Apple Media Services terms; we provide the app features.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends in Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Apple shows localised prices including applicable taxes. Refunds generally go through Apple; we cannot override store decisions.
  • If Android/Google Play launches later, the respective store terms apply analogously.

7.2 Withdrawal for digital content

Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right expires if you expressly consent to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal (§ 356(5) German Civil Code). Consent is collected in the in-app purchase/paywall flow — for subscriptions and coin packs.

8. Availability, changes, support

We aim for high availability but do not owe uninterrupted uptime. Maintenance, third-party outages, force majeure or abuse defence may cause limits. We may change, extend or discontinue features while reasonably considering legitimate user interests. Support: reel2plan.com/en/support or info@wilken-technologies.com.

9. Rights in content and software

  • The app, brands, designs and software remain ours or our licensors’. You receive a simple, non-transferable, revocable right to use as intended.
  • For plans and inputs you create, you grant us the rights needed to operate, back up, troubleshoot and — where caches are used — technically reuse the same public video source. That includes canonical transcript/plan caches that may benefit other users submitting the same public URL. We do not commercially redistribute your private plans as a standalone product.
  • Rights in original videos remain with rightsholders. Reel2Plan does not sublicense platform content.

10. Indemnity

You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your infringement of IP, personality or other rights, submission of unlawful URLs or abusive use — to the extent you are responsible — including reasonable defence costs. Our statutory liability remains unaffected.

11. Liability

We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we give a guarantee.

For slight negligence in breaching essential contractual duties, liability is limited to typical foreseeable damage. Otherwise slight negligence liability is excluded where legally permitted.

In particular we are not liable for damage from unchecked use of AI-generated or video-derived suggestions (e.g. wrong quantities, unsuitable exercises, risky DIY steps), third-platform content or availability, data loss beyond reasonable care, or indirect damage and lost profit where legally permitted.

Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

12. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using the service and delete your account in the app at any time. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription — cancel that in Apple ID settings. We may terminate for cause, especially serious breaches. Upon end, the usage right ends; retention and accrued claims remain.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for legal, technical or business reasons. The current version is at https://reel2plan.com/en/terms. For material adverse changes we notify you appropriately (e.g. in-app). If you do not object within a reasonable period and continue use, the new terms apply — provided we informed you of this consequence and mandatory law does not prevent it. Core paid-period benefits remain under store rules.

14. Final provisions

  • German law applies, excluding the UN CISG.
  • EU consumers retain mandatory protections of their country of residence.
  • Venue for merchants and users without a general venue in Germany is — where permitted — Flensburg. Consumers keep statutory venues.
  • If a provision is invalid, the rest remains; a lawful provision closest to the economic purpose applies.
  • We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in consumer dispute resolution (§ 36 VSBG). EU ODR: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
